Respect the Track Like You Respect Your Gear.

Hunting, fishing, dirt biking, ATV-riding…all are fun activities to participate in alone or with friends and family. And in order to safely enjoy your sport, you respect and care for the gear you use — your rifle, your rod, your bike. Otherwise, these “fun” activities could turn frustrating at best, dangerous at worst.

The same is true about where you choose to hunt, fish or ride.

It is never a good idea to use railroad tracks as your shortcut, fishing or hunting position, or vehicle path. Because railroads are active in North Carolina, passenger and freight trains are using those tracks day and night. You may not see or hear a train approaching — and it may not see you — and your recreation could end in disaster.

You respect your gear to keep your recreation activities fun and safe. So respect the track — stay off and stay safe.
